Welcome to New Mexico State University.  We know how important pursuing a college education is to you and that is why we have created a student success focus at New Mexico State University.  As the first member of my family to graduate from college and a minority student myself, I am eternally grateful to have had mentors and professors who were supportive of me while I tried to figure out how to navigate college.  Many of our students are the first in their families to attend college.  Others come from populations historically underrepresented in colleges and universities.  As a result, you may not have the mentors or resources available to you that other students whose previous family members who attended college have available to them.
