University Recreation’s Rodriquez Expertly Plays by the Rules

Aaron Rodriquez, University Recreation Intramural Coordinator, has been selected by the National Intramural Recreation Sports Association as an Official for the NIRSA Regional Flag Football Tournament in San Antonio Texas October 28 – 30. NIRSA is a national organization dedicated to fostering lifelong habits of wellbeing.

The tournament is part of the NIRSA Championship Series, which gives college recreational sports participants an opportunity to compete with peers from other schools at a higher level. According to the NIRSA website, the Championship series is more that a competition. It is “also a platform for professional development, as up-and-coming professionals build skills and engage in all levels of learning through their programming, staff, official, and volunteer positions. The passion of these leaders drives the exceptional execution of our professionally organized tournaments, which propels the experiences and growth opportunities of participants.”

"University Recreation is proud to have Aaron represent NMSU at the regional level.  This assignment demonstrates his commitment to service and leadership," said Danois Montoya, Associate Director, of University Recreation.
