The Campus Health Center has received notification of a full re-accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).

AAAHC accreditation means that theorganization participates in on-going self-evaluation, peer review and education. These processes are used to continuously improve upon the care and services offered.  The CHC participated in an on-site survey on November 16-17, 2015 conducted by surveyors who are themselves college health professionals.   Full accreditation signifies that the organization has demonstrated substantial compliance with AAAHC standards.  The NMSU Campus Health Center is the only accredited college health service in the State of New Mexico joining over 1,200 other college health services in the nation.

Noche de Luminarias was a whimsical success this year. In its 31st year, Noche attracted 6,500 people to the Corbett Center Student Union for a wonderful night full of activities. This year at Noche de Luminarias, we increased NMSU student attendance, a major goal set by the students who planned the event. The ice rink, Santa Clause, carriage rides, and holiday crafts were a huge hit and we can expect more attendance in 2016. We are very thankful for those who took time to volunteer at Noche de Luminarias this year. Without them, this event would not have been as great as it was.

The Second Doctoral Hooding Ceremony was held on December 11, 2015 at the Pan American Center. Forty-nine doctoral candidates were hooded at the ceremony in the presence of their family and friends.

Despite the rain and wind, the Fall 2015 Commencement ceremony was also a success. We had 934 graduates walk across the stage at the ceremony. The Commencement Ceremony was extremely successful due to our excellent volunteers represented from the entire NMSU Campus. Please see the link to the Fall Graduation Shout Out Videos. In the video Aggies say thank you to family, friends, NMSU departments, faculty, and staff that have helped them throughout their journey here at NMSU.
