The Commencement Committee met this week to finalize the planning of the Fall 2015 Commencement Ceremony and Doctoral Hooding Ceremony. During the Commencement Ceremony the committee expects over 1,000 graduates to walk across the stage on Saturday. The Commencement committee is excited to have a larger collaborative effort from the entire NMSU Community in the production of the Commencement Ceremony. Dr. Bernadette Montoya spent time on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 participating in University Advancement’s Event, Giving Tuesday. She spent the morning thanking those within NMSU and the community that have donated money to NMSU Scholarships in the form of handwritten notes and phone calls.
The Counseling Center’s doctoral training program has received a three-year accreditation from APA. This accomplishment has taken two years of collaboration and work. Additionally, the Counseling Center received its continued accreditation from the International Association of Counseling Services, Inc. for an additional year. These accomplishments mark the high standards and level of work from our Counseling Center staff.
On December 3, Dr. Bernadette Montoya presented to the Elephant Butte Irrigation District Farmer Services Annual Conference. The topic discussed was “Dealing with Conflict in the Workplace.”
