Dr. Montoya received an award for her service as Co-Chair for the APLU Council on Student Affairs at the Annual APLU Meeting in Indianapolis.

Dr. Montoya received an award for her service as Co-Chair for the APLU Council on Student Affairs at the Annual APLU Meeting in Indianapolis.

Dr. Bernadette Montoya traveled to Indianapolis for the 2015 Annual APLU Meeting held November 15-17. While at the conference, Dr. Montoya participated in a panel discussion with two other provosts and a vice president colleague from Ohio State University to discuss campus climate and issues related to civility and safety among the student population. This was Dr. Montoya’s last meeting serving as Co-Chair for the Council on Student Affairs. She will move into ex-officio status for the council in the coming year.

Dr. Montoya attended the Employer Relations Meeting with Terry Cook, Assistant Vice President for Student Engagement, Tony Marin, Director of Student Engagement, and Kevin Boberg, Vice President for Economic Development on Friday, November 13 to discuss a vision for the future of career opportunities for our students and graduates.

Military and Veterans Programs would like to thank the NMSU Community for helping support a very successful inaugural year for Military and Veteran Appreciation Week. Many members of the community attended the various activities throughout the week. Our Veterans picnic was very successful, with high attendance and a variety of community resources. The first Staff and Faculty Veterans Banquet was also a success, with a full crowd in attendance at the Stan Fulton Bistro. Click here for more details.
