Welcome to the Spring 2014 Semester!

Pete and mugsThe Spring 2014 semester is here!

I hope each and every one of you enjoyed a wonderful holiday break and were able to recharge for the exciting year ahead.  It was good to be able to visit with many of you during our annual SAEM Holiday Reception. Everyone who came to the reception received a coffee mug.  If you were unable to attend the reception, you can get your mug from my office in the Educational Services Building, Suite 401.

This year is already in full swing as we prepare for the Legislative Session, relocate offices for building renovations, continue with the Calling Campaign, hire new staff, and much more. The Executive Team has been asked to provide me a list of major initiatives for the year ahead.  I know we have much to do, and thought it would be helpful to have that information available so that everyone can see a glimpse of the many things we are doing.  While it is not all inclusive, it helps us to realize the scope of our work, and the service we provide to the University community.  You will be receiving that information soon.

We also have a few dates that you can pencil in for team building and staff gathering opportunities.  More details will become available as we near each event.

  • Staff Recognition,  April 15
  • Open Forums,  June 19
  • Annual SAEM Picnic on the Friday of Homecoming Week, around the end of October.

I look forward to our continuing success in Student Affairs and Enrollment Management in the year ahead. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication.  Know that you truly make a positive difference in the lives of our students!
